“Lapis” Contemporary Architectural Botanical Painting in Blue

LAPIS by TEALE HATHEWAY
Acrylic on canvas.
15″ x 30″. 2017.

“Lapis,” an original painting by Teale Hatheway defies easy categorization. It is an abstract, contemporary painting of a traditional architectural element, painted in loose brush strokes. Clean white and olive green colors contrast with and give way to the deep blue background, creating places for the eye to rest amongst the swirling, expressionist movement.

The long, narrow shape (30″ x 15″) of this painting makes it perfect for unusual spaces such as next to a door, between door frames, in powder rooms, or in any number of nooks that need artful attention. It can be hung in portrait or landscape orientation.

Painted in professional quality acrylics on canvas over deep stretchers. The edges are painted a very dark green-blue. Comes unframed, with a Certificate of Authenticity. Signed on side and reverse.

“Lapis” is a part of Hatheway’s Classical Architectural Details collection and coordinates well with other paintings from the series.

This painting ships carefully boxed, fully insured and requires a signature confirmation upon receipt.
